The Voice
behind the system

Darcy D
Singer • Voice Coach • Artist Developer

Over 35 years in the music industry.
Over 20 years developing voices.

A middle-aged man wearing glasses, a dark shirt, and a gray jacket, sitting with a neutral expression against a black background.

First and foremost, Darcy is a singer.

He began his career as a touring frontman in the 1980s, later sharing Gold record success with Juno Award-winning recording group Prism. His work as a recording artist spans multiple genres, with releases distributed internationally.

Alongside performing, Darcy developed a deep focus on the voice — studying extensively with leading teachers and voice specialists, and building a practical understanding of how the voice performs under real-world conditions.

This combination of stage experience, studio work, and ongoing study became the foundation of his approach to training singers.

Experience on every side of the industry.

Darcy’s background extends beyond performance and coaching. He has worked as a:

  • Vocal & record producer

  • Tour manager (including international touring)

  • Company manager for live productions

This gives him a complete understanding of what singers face — on stage, in the studio, and throughout their careers.
